Competitive landscape

Which companies exist and what do they do?

Commercial projects

A few companies have started to design specific products to solve parts of the issue/pain. We identified 3 strategic positioning : those who provide generalist cyber solutions, those which are focused towards hospitals/clinics, and those focused towards medical device vendors.

  • Generalists (not specialized on healthcare): as diverse as the cyber ecosystem itself, some vendors provide solutions to some of the issues encountered in the healthcare sector.

  • Focused on hospitals/clinics: cylera, medigate, cynerio, cyberMdX - the added value is to consolidate all assets under management, whatever the vendor may be.

  • Focused on device vendors: medcrypt - the added value is to support cybersecurity improvements in the supplychain, so it is a more fundamental approach that could benefit from recent regulatory obligations.

  • Focused on a specific function: for instance forgerock implements the UMA2 protocol to manage identity and access.

Some of those vendors, as well as some service providers (ex: apraciti), may publish interesting content.

Please note that we do not endorse any of the mentioned companies. One can find benchmarks of those solutions (and related markets) by analysts such as Forrester (be careful as the related markets may be quite different depending on the approach).

One may notice that all those actors are US based. There's a real lack of European actors.
